Day Trip: Tiburon - Angel Island - Sausalito

On Saturday, I visited Angel Island with my dad and little sister. Did you know that Angel Island was on dubbed the "Ellis Island of the West" and was a major center for immigration? There was even a law against Chinese immigrants for a short period of time. Though the immigration center is still standing, it's being put to much better use as a museum.

The immigration center- this one building had to hold hundreds of immigrants.

Amazing quote in the window of a bookstore
The view from the window of the Thai restaurant we ate at in Sausalito
As a fitting end to the day, we had some good Thai fried rice and delicious lychee and vanilla ice cream.

Did you have a good weekend?

xoxo
